Research
Improving and Enriching Lives

We are sometimes asked about the word “Research” in our name.  Why research?  This is and has been a core value of this company from the beginning.  We conduct outcomes research, primarily on the effectiveness of our services and sometimes other services in the public mental health system.  In developing innovative recovery/PSR service models, such as our START programs, it is particularly important to demonstrate and document the effectiveness of services using scientific methods which will withstand peer scrutiny.  We do this through outcomes research with various community partners, which sometimes result in publications in peer-reviewed journals and in modifications to CRF and the County systems of care.  We conduct research not only to document and improve our practice, but to inform the practice of others through published peer reviewed journal articles.
