Advanced Center for Innovation in Services and Intervention Research

CRF is working with the Advanced Center for Innovation in Services and Intervention Research (ACISIR), of the Department of Psychiatry, UCSD on a number of studies and projects. Current projects focus of an analysis of the public mental health database in San Diego County. The Investigation Team includes Dilip Jeste, MD, ACISR Director, David Folsom, MD, MPH, Piedad Garcia, EdD, Clinical Director for the County of San Diego, William Hawthorne,. PhD, CRF Executive Director, and others. These studies examine factors associated with service use including age group, ethnic group, and diagnostic group. The study may have important implications for service delivery of public mental health services in the County of San Diego. The study is a collaboration of the County of San Diego, Adult and Older Adult Mental Health Services, the ACISR, and CRF. Other research projects include an analysis of mental and physical health services provided to Medi-Cal beneficiaries in San Diego County and a study of readmission episodes to START and hospital programs in San Diego County. CRF staff are also assisting the ACISR in developing a research network within the public mental health system in San Diego County.
